Launching Where Your Treasure Is

Hey readers! Today is launch day for my amateur sleuth novel Where Your Treasure Is. I’m thrilled with the cover and that I finally get to share this story with you all. If you’ve hung around for a while, you might remember that this story started as a YA novel, then tried to become Women’s Fiction, then settled on New Adult, and somewhere along the way the main character Ruby decided that all the main characters are Hispanic. To do this story justice, I sought tons of help from:

  • a sensitivity reader who is passionate and knowledgeable about Hispanic culture and added so much depth to Ruby’s family
  • 2 pilots for a suspenseful flight scene
  • the director of archaeology at the Mel Fisher Maritime Museum
  • 3 author friends who helped me with the structure, plot, editing, and diving scenes (sincerest thanks to JPC Allen, Allyson Kennedy, and Leslea Wahl)
  • a forum for writing crime scenes so I could have accuracy during the many scenes involving law enforcement
  • 3 beta readers who gave lots of helpful feedback

Without all of their gracious help, plus my street team who is busy helping spread the word, plus my endearing family, and of course God, this book wouldn’t be available.

It’s important to me to provide wholesome adventure books, so I really hope you love this story, dear readers 🙂 I put a lot of heart into it!

To celebrate its launch, eBooks are only $1.49, and paperbacks are only $11.49.

This sounds really interesting! How long will the release sale be going on? I ask because when I looked the ebook up on Smashwords, it says it won’t be available until the 5th.

When I was publishing to Smashwords and some of the other distributors, the Draft2Digital system told me that 2/5 is the soonest they could make it available, so I decided to run the launch discount through 2/15 to give readers a window of time to utilize the sale pricing. I think if you pre-order through Smashwords, the sale pricing is supposed to apply. Let me know if you have any troubles with it, and thank you so much for your support! I hope you love the story 🙂

I love hearing how much care and research went into bringing this story to life, and I’m excited to see it finally out in the world.

New Adult is a new category for me and I had to look it up. It’s a bridge between young Adult and Adult genres with a protagonist between 18 and 30. The book cover and the title are intriguing.

I love Historical Fiction and authors who care enough to research the facts as they actually happened. Thank you for the giveaway.

All of the books in the Off the Itinerary series were wonderful and I’m sure this one will be just as good! Looking forward to reading it soon!
